This plant occurs in all five regions of Brazil in the phytogeographic domains of the Caatinga, Cerrado and Atlantic Forest. The image also shows part of the Arara Hills in the background, located in the semi-arid region of the state of Paraíba, which has important floristic richness revealed to the scientific community for the first time in the article printed in this edition.
